Generosity was amazing!
- Rick Rake, LRCA
Thank you to the generosity of the crowds and the great bands participating in the LRCA Sunday night concert series, which concluded on August 21st at Transfer Beach Amphitheatre.
Beatlemania stole the show on July 17th and Doctors of Rock n Roll on July 24th inspired dancing patrons, offering a fun Twist contest. Donations for both shows were record-breakers after the event was on a two-year hiatus.
Not only children, but adults are enthusiastically dancing at the two-hour shows.
Volunteer coordinator Janis Beecroft engaged her team for the halftime donation collection, and the response was overwhelming. “The generosity was amazing," said Rick Rake, LRCA manager of communications and events.
A big thank you also to Chris Noel and the Burning House Band for its August 14th performance and the Tasha Adams Quartet with Harbour City Swing dancers on August 21st, concluding the successful fund-raising and friend-raising series for Summer 2022.
