Shelter: 24/7 operations provide comfort
Find our LRCA shelter at 631 First Avenue (The Rialto). Call 250-924-4666 for direct assistance.
A hot evening meal, access to a clean bed, sundries and a shower, laundry and the warm company of the staff and volunteers of the LRCA 24/7 Shelter are essential services for our community. The Ladysmith Resources Centre operates a 10-bed temporary place to stay for anyone who is homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Our professional staff members operate the shelter and provide assistance and companionship. Shelter staff are also happy to make referrals to other agencies if the guest so desires this help.
It is a safe environment off the streets where individuals can expect to be treated with inclusivity, fairness and respect.

About Us
It all began early in 1992 at a meeting of the Ladysmith Inter-Agency Liaison Committee, a group of representatives from the government-mandated agencies formed in the early 1970s to maximize cooperation among the agencies while minimizing the duplication of services.
In 1992, this group pooled some of their own money and decided to form a non-profit association to try to deal with these recurring situations. This became the foundation of the Ladysmith Resources Centre Association.
