A piece of your heart, makes ours whole… the heart on the hill.
Please join us at our Annual General Meeting.
Our biggest asset is our volunteers. Every year we are amazed at the effort they bring to make our programs and events successful, the drive they have to create sustainability in our community and the passion for building a path of prevention to give our community members the best chance possible for success.
Giving a hand up to help everyone in our community who needs it.
What is a Board? They are another group of people we could not do without. They are our Board of Directors. They support and guide the whole organization. You can be a part of this incredible source of energy by putting yourself into the nomination ballot.
You can be a part of helping create the future of the LRCA. Want to vote? Become a member today.
Come and meet our staff. Talk to them about why they coordinate and deliver the programming provided by the Ladysmith Resources Centre Association. It is their heart and passion that creates a solid foundation here on the hill. It pours out of the doors, it seeps into the community and it spurs the growth of sustainability and positive paths for hundreds of people every week… through the delivery of necessary programs, the execution of community-building events and providing a warm and inviting place to come and find solutions.
There is more to an Annual General Meeting than numbers and voting in the next board members. There is an opportunity to be a part of something big in our community. Make a difference.
You can purchase your Disability Parking Permit at the Ladysmith Resources Centre Association. Drop by and pick up an application to take to your doctor to fill out. You can check ahead of time most of the local doctors offices already have the application.
In most cases there is a charge from your doctor’s office for filling out the application. Once your application is completed bring it to the LRCA.
We are open Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. There is a $20.00 charge for the actual permit (cash or cheque only). Remember DO NOT drive with your permit hanging from your rear view mirror. It is only to be displayed when you are in a designated disability parking spot.
The Ladysmith Community Response Network is undertaking a walkability and accessibility assessment of Ladysmith neighbourhoods. We are looking for feedback from Ladysmith residents to help address some of the key issues and barriers to a walkable, age friendly Ladysmith.
