Concerts in the Park coming this Summer
Ladysmith’s Transfer Beach Park, on the east side of the Island Highway, features harbour frontage and is family oriented with lots of picnic space, a swimming beach and a play area for kids. Best of all, an outdoor, water front amphitheatre hosts Concerts in the Park and an array of other events throughout the year.
Join us at Transfer Beach on Sunday evenings this July and August.
Each July and August this is where we hold our annual Concerts in the Park. The venue is superb with the backdrop of the harbour, grassy lawn, flowerbeds and a large seating area protected by mature maples.
Part of the enjoyment and pleasure of the music concerts is the outdoors atmosphere with warm summer days and evenings and the idyllic panorama of ocean and green space. Often, kayakers, pleasure yachts, and sail boaters will pause in their travels to listen to the concerts from water side.
Admission to our concerts is by DONATION and volunteers circulate through the audience during the performance to collect. All donation money supports the many programs of the LRCA that we offer at no cost.
The financial support of local business people enables us to pay the fees of the musicians and other related costs. We sincerely them for their generosity.
