B.C. Seniors Advocate shares information about seniors and offers some compelling advice

As a senior in B.C. should you defer your house taxes?  How do you deal with mounting debt when your spouse is in care and you are left alone with all the expenses?

These were among questions touched on by Isobel Mackenzie, seniors advocate for the BC Office of the Seniors Advocate, an independent office of the provincial government.  If you need seniors support, just dial 211.

Mackenzie was featured speaker April 19 for the LRCA seniors department at the Seniors Centre.

Her office provices advocacy for seniors, monitors systemic issues, provides information and referrals to seniors and caregivers.
